Northwestern State beats Louisiana College 116-76

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Brison White scored a career-high 23 points and DeQuan Hicks added 21 while pulling down 11 rebounds as Northwestern State overwhelmed Division III Louisiana College 116-76 Saturday.

White scored 21 and Hicks nine in the first half. White’s fourth dunk of the game gave Northwestern a 37-13 lead midway through the first period. The Demons held a 58-36 advantage at the half.

Patrick Robinson and Tyler Washington each scored 13 points for Northwestern (4-5). Jalan West contributed nine points, seven assists and five steals.

Northwestern dominated Louisiana College (3-2) on 48-of-80 shooting. The Demons also shot 53.8 percent from 3-point range.

Anthony Gaines Jr. scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Doc Welsh scored 12 points and Kevin Cottonham added 10 to lead Louisiana College. The Wildcats shot 39.4 percent from the field.
