DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — Carson Puriefoy scored a game-high 15 points and Dave Coley added 14 more to lead Stony Brook to a 67-48 win over New Hampshire in their conference opener on Sunday.

The Seawolves (7-4, 1-0 America East Conference) dominated the boards, holding a 41-23 rebounding advantage and putting up 18 second-chance points. Puriefoy was 5 of 9 from the field, hitting two of his three shots from beyond the arc.

New Hampshire (2-7, 0-1) kept the game close in the first half, trailing by just six at the break. But Stony Brook poured it on in the second half, pulling away with a 16-3 run fueled by a Puriefoy layup, followed by a jumper, and capped by his second 3-pointer.

Jordon Bronner and Frank Okeke scored 14 points each for the Wildcats, who hit just six of their 26 shots from 3-point range.
