INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Teddy’s Promise led most of the way in winning the $100,250 Playa del Rey Stakes by 114 lengths at Betfair Hollywood Park on Sunday.

Ridden by Victor Espinoza, Teddy’s Promise ran six furlongs on Cushion Track in 1:09.66 and paid $3.20, $2.60 and $2.10 as the 3-5 favorite.

Judy in Disguise returned $4.60 and $2.40, while Rumor was another 134 lengths back in third and paid $2.60 to show.

Teddy’s Promise won for the sixth time in 12 starts on the track’s synthetic surface.

Trainer Ron Ellis says Teddy’s Promise is set to make her final career start in the Santa Monica Stakes on Jan. 25 at Santa Anita before going to the breeding shed.

“We’re sorry to lose her,” he said. “She’s been a great mare for us.”

Teddy’s Promise has 11 wins in 28 career starts and earnings of $882,397.
