ALBANY, Ore. — Oregon State Police says a car fleeing from a trooper collided with another car Sunday afternoon on Interstate 5 near Albany, injuring a family.

Two adults and two juveniles in the car that was hit were taken to a hospital with possible minor injuries.

Troopers say a man and woman in the fleeing car were arrested on outstanding warrants.

The incident began when a trooper tried to stop their car after a reported hit-and-run in Lane County. The driver fled at high speed for about eight miles before hitting the family’s car.

The northbound lanes were restricted for about three hours for the investigation.
