Madison Sorenson had 20 points, six rebounds, four assits and three steals to lead Woodland to a Trico League win at home.

The Beavers took advantage of some cold shooting by La Center to take a 15-4 lead after the first quarter.

Katie Whitten tried to rally the Wildcats by scoring 11 of her 15 points in the second quarter. But Woodland countered with a balanced attack to keep La Center at bay.

“It was a consistent effort on our part,” Woodland coach Glen Flanagan said. “We got a lot of people involved, and La Center had a lot of 3-point shots rim out.”

Sidra Malik had 14 points and six steals, Jessica Flanagan had 10 points and seven assists, and Kendall Grell added seven points, 10 rebounds and four steals for Woodland.
