Clark County Juvenile Court is looking for volunteers to meet with children and their families to discuss the impacts of the youth's offense on victims and the community. Youth are encouraged to right the harms they caused and grow from the experience. Mandatory training is provided. Tutors are also needed in detention and community education programs.

Clark County Student Learning Center is looking for volunteers to tutor adults in reading, writing, math and English communication, two to three hours per week for 10 weeks. Tutoring is done one-on-one or in small group settings in a classroom.

Share is looking for volunteers to help prepare and serve meals.

Shared Hope International seeks volunteers to help educate others about domestic minor sex trafficking. Help is needed with general office duties, data entry, mailings, preparing for events, and with the administrative details of fundraising. The non-profit is also looking for male volunteers to fight against the commercial sex industry and to assist with mailings, data entry and phone calls in its "Defender" program.

• The Clark County commissioners seek to fill five positions on the Clean Water Commission. Two positions begin immediately and end in February 2015. Three position's terms are from March 2014 through February 2017.

The advisory group makes recommendations to the board about services, policies and financing to meet federal and state requirements for water quality, including stormwater management. Residents of the county's unincorporated area are encouraged to apply. Analytical skills are desirable, along with experience and interest in environmental issues.

The group meets six times annually in the sixth-floor training room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver.
