Boys basketball: Battle Ground 75, Mountain View 52

Jamie Ford was 9 of 15 from the floor and scored 21 points to lead the Tigers over the Thunder.

Battle Ground (5-1) took control in the second quarter, then extended the lead into the third.

“We challenge the guys because Mountain View was playing a lot harder than us,” Battle Ground coach Wes Armstrong said. “The guys responded.”

Devin Johnson added 16 points and 14 rebounds for Battle Ground. Josh Lemar scored 13 points.

Alex Torson led Mountain View with 19 points. Garrett Jones had 11.
