Vancouver police have arrested a man they say is responsible for a string of early morning burglaries that have taken place over the past month across the west side of the city.
A Vancouver Police Department report said officers responded to a burglary in progress in the 3400 block of Columbia Street on Wednesday morning. After a brief pursuit, officers found a man hiding in a nearby yard with several stolen items.
The man was identified Wednesday afternoon as David Popplewell, 31. He was booked on suspicion of residential burglary and lodged in the Clark County Jail.
