A woman wanted in Clark County for allegedly bilking an elderly man out of more than $40,000 has been arrested in Clackamas County, Ore., on suspicion of stealing $20,000 from the purse of a nail salon employee.
Clackamas County Sheriff deputies arrested Theresa Costello, 37, on a charge of aggravated theft in the first degree. The arrest also came with a hold on a fugitive warrant from Clark County for a 2012 charge of theft in the first degree.
The Clark County warrant stems from a case where Costello took advantage of a man who struggled with memory issues, according to a court affidavit. It said Costello used the man to pay for several purchases for herself.
When Costello did not show up for court, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
