Girls basketball: Battle Ground 49, Columbia River 44

The visiting Tigers scored the last 10 points of the game to pull out the win. The Chieftains led 44-39 with less than four minutes to play.

Alena Jarvis made two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, and Jossilyn Blackman and Emily Griffith made key layups for Battle Ground. Griffith and Blackman each finished with 12 points, Jarvis scored 11 and Kylie Smith had 10 for the Tigers.

Battle Ground outscored Columbia River 30-19 in the second half.

Marian Lilly and Megan Bloom each finished with nine points to top a balanced scoring list for the Chieftains (3-4).
