Jackets activate Marian Gaborik, James Wisniewski

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Columbus Blue Jackets activated forward Marian Gaborik and defenseman James Wisniewski off injured reserve Friday.

Gaborik has missed the past 17 games with a sprained knee. He has five goals and six assists in 17 games this season. In 786 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, New York Rangers and Minnesota Wild, he has 341 goals, 344 assists and a plus/minus rating of plus-91. He has scored 40 or more goals in a season three times.

Wisniewski has missed the past six games with an upper-body injury. He leads all Columbus defensemen in scoring with two goals and 16 assists. In 435 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Montreal, New York Islanders, Anaheim Ducks and Chicago Blackhawks, he has 40 goals and 167 assists.
