Sean Price scored 17 points on 8 of 9 shooting, had nine rebounds and five assists as the Clark College men’s basketball team defeated Lane 87-59 on Sunday to win the Everett Crossover tournament.

Price, a Columbia River grad, was named MVP of the eight-team tournament.

Clark’s Collin Spickerman, named all-tournament, scored 16 points and had nine rebounds.

“It was a good trip,” Clark coach Alex Kirk said. “When we do our job, deal with what we can control, we can compete with anyone.”

Clark (7-1) has won five consecutive games including victories over NWAACC preseason No. 1 ranked Whatcom and No. 2 Big Bend at the Everett event.

Kirk said Clark’s depth really showed at the three-day tournament.

“It really was different guys on different nights,” Kirk said. “They all had their moments to shine.”

Hayden Hall added 14 points and seven rebounds for Clark in the final game, and Ronalds Elksnis had 11 points and seven rebounds.

Clark outrebounded Lane 53-32.
