Letter: Why Higgs boson matters to Santa

The Columbian
Published: December 24, 2013, 4:00pm

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus and he is definitely white. This has been confirmed by experts such as Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

Keep in mind that her proclamation follows on the discovery of the Higgs boson, without which there would be no mass in our universe according to theoretical physicists. That would mean there could be no Santa Claus or elves to make toys for you. There would be no chimneys for Santa to climb down either.

No one knows what color the Higgs boson is but this should not concern you, Virginia.
