Grass Valley Vocal Jazz to perform

Grass Valley Vocal Jazz will perform Monday, March 3, at 6:30 p.m. on the Grass Valley Elementary School stage, 3000 N.W. Grass Valley Drive.

Vocal jazz guests “Mainstream,” from Clackamas Community College, under the direction of Dr. Kathleen Hollingsworth, will also be performing.

Admission is free and open to the public.

WSU Vancouver hosts ‘Noche de Familia&#8217;

Noche de Familia, an annual information night hosted by Washington State University Vancouver, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 6, in the Firstenburg Student Commons.

The event is free and open to the public.

Noche de Familia is an information night designed for Spanish speakers who want to learn more about WSU Vancouver’s academic programs, application process and campus life.

Participants will learn about preparing for and paying for college, and common challenges they may encounter.

A dinner will be served to all attendees.

Fall UO honor roll announced

Jedidiah Barnett and Trevor Schauer of Camas were named to the honor roll at the University of Oklahoma Norman campus for the fall 2013 semester.

In most colleges at UO, students must earn a minimum 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale to be included on the honor roll.

Students in the College of Architecture are recognized with a 3.3 or better, and students in the College of Engineering are recognized with a 3.0 or better. All students must take at least 12 graded credits.

Locals land on dean’s list

Kaia Evans and Jasmyne Samuels of Camas have been named to the dean’s list at Arizona State University. To qualify for the list, students must earn at least a 3.5 GPA and take at 12 or more graded credits.

Arizona State University is located in Tempe.

Clark College presents ‘Spring Awakening’

Clark College Theatre will present the musical, “Spring Awakening,” Feb. 28, March 1, 7, 8 and 13-15. All shows start at 7:30 p.m. at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way. There will also be a 2 p.m. matinee on March 8. Tickets can be purchased at 992-2815 or online at www.clark.edu/cc/theatre/season.

Kwan named to dean’s list at RIT

Cameron Kwan of Camas has been named to the dean’s list at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

To be named to the list, students must earn at least a 3.4 GPA. RIT is located in Rochester, N.Y.

Local residents make dean’s list

Nadine Stone and Natalie Stone of Camas were named to the dean’s list at Baylor University for the fall 2013 semester.

To be named to the list, students must earn a 3.7 GPA and take 12 graded credits.

Baylor University is located in Waco, Texas.
