RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Cedrick Lindsay scored eight points of his 19 second-half points in a 17-6 run to begin the half and Richmond pulled away to beat Old Dominion 67-58 on Saturday night.
Kendall Anthony added 17 points and Alonzo Nelson-Adoda had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Spiders (9-4), who won their third in a row against their former Colonial Athletic Association rival.
Aaron Bacote scored 20 points and Denzell Taylor had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead Old Dominion (5-8), which lost for the seventh time in eight games. Taylor had all five of the Monarchs’ second-half field goals until Bacote’s 3-pointer with 2:27 left. That pulled them within 57-48, but the deficit was too much to overcome.
The Spiders scored 17 points off Old Dominion’s giveaways and had just seven turnovers themselves.
