NEW YORK (AP) — Farhaan easily won the $100,000 Lord of the Night on Sunday, the final stakes of the year at Aqueduct.
The 4-year-old trained by Kiaran McLaughlin and ridden by Irad Ortiz, Jr. beat Colleen’s Sailor by five lengths for his second win in six starts this season.
The time for the 1 mile, 70 yards in the rain was 1:44.11 on the track labeled good.
Farhaan paid $8.50, $5.50 and $2.50 as the 3-1 second choice. Colleen’s Sailor returned $8.30 and $3.30 after setting the pace. Praetereo paid $2.10 to show as the even-money favorite.
