SEATTLE (AP) — Washington coach Chris Petersen has announced his first coaching staff with the Huskies with much of his Boise State staff joining him in Seattle.

The Huskies announced Petersen’s staff on Monday. Pete Kwiatkowski will be the defensive coordinator with Jonathan Smith taking on the role of offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Bob Gregory, Boise State’s interim coach for its bowl game, will come to Washington as the linebackers coach, while Brent Pease will rejoin Petersen as the wide receivers coach after being fired as Florida’s offensive coordinator.

The staff will not include Tosh Lupoi, the defensive line coach under previous coach Steve Sarkisian. Washington is looking into allegations of recruiting violations against Lupoi, first reported by the Los Angeles Times. The school said Lupoi is being reassigned within the athletic department.
