Murray State beats Austin Peay 75-68 in overtime

MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — Isaiah Canaan scored 19 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out three assists to lead Murray State to a 75-68 overtime win over Austin Peay on Saturday.

Latreze Mushatt finished with 14 points in the Racers (16-5, 7-2 Ohio Valley Conference), who lost their last game 65-64 to Jacksonville State on January 26.

Anthony Campbell scored 16 points for Austin Peay (5-18, 1-8), which lost its six straight game and 14 of its last 15 contests.

In Murray State’s first overtime of the season, Canaan scored on a three-point play that gave the Racers a three-point lead just 42 seconds into OT.

Canaan knocked down a 3-pointer with 2:20 left overtime, extending his school-record streak to straight 30 games of made shots from beyond the arc. His shot from the right wing secured the win for the Racers.
