LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — James Hublin led five Northwestern State players in double figures with 18 points off the bench as the Demons completed a season sweep of Southland Conference-foe McNeese State Sunday 86-74.

The win was the fourth straight for Northwestern State (14-6, 8-2), which also got 16 points from DeQuan Hicks, 13 from Brison White, 11 from Shamir Davis and 10 from Gary Stewart. Jalen West added nine assists.

The Demons beat the Cowboys 78-63 on Jan. 3.

Dontae Cannon paced McNeese State (8-12, 2-8) with 22 points. The Cowboys have lost four straight Southland games since winning their conference-record 299th league game against Lamar Jan. 19.

Craig McFerrin added 15 points and Adrian Fields and Desharick Guidry 12 each as McNeese State’s offense rebounded from a 39-point output in a loss to Stephen F. Austin Wednesday that tied the school record for fewest points in the shot clock era.
