Boys basketball: Forks 65, King’s Way Christian 46

A third-quarter spurt helped the host Spartans eliminate the Knights in the first round of the Class 1A District 4 playoffs.

Forks (15-6) outscored King’s Way 23-13 in the third quarter to take a 16-point lead into the fourth quarter.

“They forced us into quite a few turnovers and converted on them,” King’s Way coach Butch Blue said of the third quarter. “They were hot and we were not.”

Kienan Walter scored 20 points and Chris Crensaw finished with 13 to account for most of the Knights’ offense.

King’s Way Christian finished its season with a record of 7-14. Forks advances to the double-elimination phase of the district playoffs.
