BALTIMORE (AP) — The start of Baltimore’s celebration for the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens has been briefly delayed as the team makes its way to City Hall.

A brief ceremony to kick off the parade was to start at 11 a.m., but has not yet begun. Purple-clad fans are cheering at War Memorial Plaza, in front of City Hall, as they wait.

The parade will go past the Inner Harbor and end at the Ravens stadium, where more fans are singing and waving signs.

There’s been traffic congestion downtown and near the stadium as thousands of fans poured into the city. Officials expect about 100,000 people to attend the events.
