NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Kevin Hill hit a pair of free throws with 1 second left in regulation to force overtime — his only points of the night — and New Orleans eked out a 75-73 victory over Texas-Pan American on Wednesday night.

After the Broncs’ Brandon Provost hit a 3-pointer to put Texas-Pan American up 67-65 with 4 seconds left, Shaquille Hines fouled Hill with a second remaining, and the freshman hit both free throws to force the extra session.

New Orleans (7-13) opened overtime on a 6-1 run and held Texas-Pan American (12-12) without a field goal for the final 2:27.

The win was New Orleans’ second in a row and third in its past four, including a triple overtime win over New Jersey Institute of Technology on Jan. 21.

Rarlensee Nelson finished with 21 points for New Orleans, and Lovell Cook added 19.

Provost led the Broncs with 24 points.
