FARMVILLE, Va. (AP) — Stan Okoye scored 27 points, D.J. Covington had 25 and Ronnie Glasgow handed out a season-high 11 assists to lead Virginia Military Institute to a 93-60 victory against Longwood in a Big South Conference game Wednesday night.
Covington also had eight rebounds and five blocks, and Brian Brown scored 15 points for the Keydets (11-10, 6-3), who have won two in a row after losing three straight.
VMI outscored Longwood 46-18 in the paint.
Tristan Carey scored 13 points, David Robinson had 12 and Michael Kessens 11 and nine rebounds for the Lancers (3-21, 0-10), who have lost 14 in a row.
The Keydets led 40-26 at halftime, with Covington scoring 14 points and Okoye 12.
VMI shot 57.6 percent from the field (38 of 66) and 43.6 percent (11 of 26) on 3-pointers. Longwood was 21 of 58 from the field, 7 of 14 on 3-pointers.
