SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) — Corey Hawkins scored 20 points and UC Davis held UC Santa Barbara to a just 18.5 percent from 3-point range en route to a 64-56 victory on Thursday night.

Alan Williams had his 10th double-double of the season for UCSB (7-15, 3-8 Big West) with 15 points and 13 rebounds. UCSB dropped its fifth straight game.

UC Davis (9-12, 5-5) ended a nine-game losing streak against the Gauchos.

The Gauchos never had a lead in the game.

The Aggies used back-to-back 3-pointers by Tyler Les and Hawkins to take a 29-13 lead with 5:12 to play in the first half.

After Michael Bryson had a tip-in for UCSB to cut the lead to 48-37 with 9:31 left in the game, the Aggies used a long 3-pointer by Ryan Sypkens and a leaner by Hawkins to push the edge back to 53-37 with 6:35 to play.
