Northwestern State routs Central Arkansas 93-73.

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Brison White had career-highs of 20 points and six steals helping Northwestern State rout Central Arkansas 93-73 Saturday in a Southland Conference game.

Gary Stewart (15), Gary Roberson (14), Shamir Davis (13) and DeQaun Hicks (10) all scored in double figures for Northwestern State (16-6, 10-2), which won its sixth straight game.

The Demons, who lead the nation in scoring with 83.9 points per game, scored 36 points off of 25 turnovers from the Bears, and outscored Central Arkansas’ bench 57-35.

The Demons recorded 18 steals and are the fifth in the nation, averaging 10.7 steals per game.

Northwestern State shot 49.3 percent (34 of 29) while holding the Bears to 41.7 percent (30 of 72).

White made 5 of 7 shots and scored 11 points, and Northwestern State led by as many as 23 points, in the second half.

Jarvis Garner led Central Arkansas (9-13, 4-8) with 13 points.
