Auction to benefit local man in coma

Friends and family of Luke Ashe, the Vancouver man who has been in an unexplained coma since Jan. 15, are hosting a silent auction to help pay medical and related expenses.
The auction is set for 5 to 10 p.m. Feb. 24 at Buffalo Wild Wings, 7704 N.E. Fifth Ave., in Hazel Dell. Radio station 94/7 Alternative Portland will be on site during the fundraiser.
Among the items and services to be auctioned are a hat signed by Seattle Seahawks tight end Zach Miller, a computer case signed by Portland Trail Blazers guard Wesley Matthews, a guided fishing trip, spa and salon services, tattoo sessions, a camping package, dance and art lessons, a tanning package, restaurant gift cards, Seattle Seahawks kids fan pack and a year of garbage and recycling service.

Doctors have still not determined why the 27-year-old slipped into a coma last month.
