Today is the last day for voters to cast ballots in school levies in the Battle Ground, Camas, La Center, Ridgefield and Vancouver school districts. Ballots must be postmarked today in order to be valid, or dropped at any of the county’s 24 authorized drop locations before 8 p.m. One of those locations is a drop box in the middle of 14th Street between Franklin and Esther streets, near the Clark County Courthouse. It is accessible 24 hours a day.

Election results should be available about 8:15 p.m. tonight and will be posted on The Columbian’s website, The Columbian, as well as on the county’s elections site. For a complete list of drop boxes and more information, visit elections@clark.wa.gov. The elections office can be reached at 360-397-2345.

Levy dollars are used to pay for all aspects of school district maintenance and operations: personnel including teachers; counselors and nurses; school buses; textbooks and curriculum materials; arts and music programs; maintenance and repair of buildings; security expenses including campus security employees; and school resource officers from local police departments and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
