LORMAN, Miss. (AP) — Brandon Ellis tied a season high with 25 points and Demarquelle Tabb added a double-double as Alabama A&M came back to beat Alcorn State 72-65 Saturday night in Southwestern Athletic Conference action.

The Bulldogs (9-15, 5-8) trailed 36-26 at halftime, but forced a 45-45 tie on Ellis’ 3-pointer with 11:22 remaining. Four more ties and four lead changes followed, with Jose Long’s free throw putting Alabama A&M ahead 57-56 with 4:08 left. The foul shot sparked a 6-1 run that included another 3-pointer from Ellis.
