Letter: Light rail addresses future needs

The Columbian
Published: February 15, 2013, 4:00pm

My thanks to Ken Spurlock for his progressive and informative Feb. 7 letter “Light rail here would fulfill a dream,” in regard to the Clark County transportation needs.

Clark County is part of the Portland metropolitan area whether everyone realizes it or not. Portland is the center for the financial, business and personal health of the entire metropolitan area. The area’s transportation must be adapted similar to other large metropolitan areas in the East and West to accommodate all those needs or Clark County will suffer the consequences.
