Richmond beats St. Bonaventure 83-80 in overtime

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Cedrick Lindsay scored 22 points and Greg Robbins 20 as Richmond defeated St. Bonaventure 83-80 in overtime Saturday night in an Atlantic 10 Conference game.

Lindsay and Robbins combined to score 11 of the 16 points in overtime by the Spiders (16-11, 6-6), but their biggest points came from Darien Brothers with 24 seconds left. The senior guard was fouled on a 3-point try and made all three free throws for a 79-77 lead.

Eric Mosley scored 30 points for the Bonnies (11-13, 4-7), who also lost in overtime Wednesday night, 69-66 to La Salle.

Richmond led by as many as 13 points, 49-36, and was ahead 61-51 with 6:40 remaining before St. Bonaventure (11-13, 4-7) rallied. Jordan Gathers, who had 18 points, made three baskets, Mosley hit a 3-pointer with 1:16 left and Charlon Kloof’s free throw forced overtime.

Lindsay finished 14 of 14 from the free-throw line.
