SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) — Dylan Royer scored 23 points and Cal Poly ended a six-game losing streak against UC Santa Barbara, defeating the Gauchos 67-49 Saturday night.

Royer hit 7 of 16 3-point attempts for the Mustangs (12-11, 8-5 Big West), including two after Santa Barbara had carved a 17-point deficit to 55-49. He hit back-to-back 3s from the left corner to push Cal Poly’s lead back to 61-49 and the Mustangs pulled away from there.

Alan Williams, who was questionable with a sprained ankle for much of the week, led the Gauchos (8-16, 4-9) with 24 points, 17 rebounds and four blocked shots.

Cal Poly shot just 35 percent from the field but hit 11 of 30 3-pointers and was 14 of 15 from the foul line.

Santa Barbara shot 43.5 percent but made only 3 of 14 3-pointers and was 6 of 9 from the line.
