RADFORD, Va. (AP) — Andrew Ryan scored nine of his 20 points in overtime as Campbell defeated Radford 72-66 Tuesday night to move into second place in the Big South Conference North Division race.

Ryan opened the overtime period with a 3-pointer, giving the Camels a lead they wouldn’t relinquish, and also hit 6 of 6 free throws. Trey Freeman’s 21 points led Campbell, which previously beat the Highlanders 69-60 on Jan. 23.

The Camels (12-16, 7-7), coming off an 87-78 win over Virginia Military Institute that snapped a six-game skid, trailed 30-22 at halftime.

Campbell tied it at 36 and eventually led by eight. Javonte Green, who paced Radford (12-16, 6-8) with 23 points, made 1 of 2 free throws to knot it at 57 with 45 seconds left in regulation.

After Green’s back-to-back layups in overtime made it 62-61, Darius Leonard scored his lone basket and Ryan made four straight foul shots.
