Sen. Murray guest at STEM education event

A public reception highlighting local school successes in STEM -- science, technology, engineering and math -- is scheduled for 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at nLight Corporation, 5408 N.E. 88th St.
Sen. Patty Murray will speak about education and workforce development in STEM fields. Other speakers are nLight CEO and founder Scott Keeney as well as STEM teachers, students, business leaders and volunteers.
