No. 24 Nebraska women roll past Michigan, 57-39

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Jordan Hooper scored 14 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead No. 24 Nebraska to its eighth straight victory, 57-39 over Michigan on Thursday night.

Lindsey Moore had 15 points and eight assists for the Cornhuskers (20-6, 10-3 Big Ten), who held Michigan to 28 percent shooting and committed only six fouls. Michigan didn’t shoot a free throw the entire game.

Nya Jordan scored 12 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for the Wolverines (19-7, 8-5).

Michigan opened the game on a 10-2 run and led 22-18 at halftime, but Nebraska answered with a 21-0 run over the first 8:34 of the second half to lead 39-22 and cruised from there.

Nebraska remained second in the Big Ten standings behind No. 7 Penn State, while Michigan dropped into a third-place tie with No. 22 Purdue, Michigan State and Illinois. The top four teams receive first-round byes in the conference tournament.
