Tennessee Tech rolls past UT Martin 83-68

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Dennis Ogbe scored a career-high 23 points and Jud Dillard added 21 to help Tennessee Tech beat Tennessee-Martin 83-68 Thursday night to snap a two-game skid.

Jeremiah Samarrippas added 14 and Javon McKay chipped in 11 for Tennessee Tech. Ogbe made 10 of 13 shots and Dillard hit just 3 of 9 but converted 13 of 14 free throws.

Tennessee Tech (10-16, 4-10 Ohio Valley Conference) outshot UT-Martin 44 percent (11 of 25) to 35 percent (10 of 28) in the first half en route to a 34-24 halftime advantage. The Golden Eagles improved to 61 percent (16 of 26) in the second half to pull away.

Myles Taylor paced UT Martin (7-19, 4-10) with 15 points, Mike Liabo and Bobby Jones had 12, and Terance Smith 10. The Skyhawks shot 38 percent (23 of 60) for the game and especially struggled from deep, hitting just 7 of 22 attempts.
