About $2,800 worth of methamphetamine was seized and two people were arrested in what authorities are calling a significant drug case.

The Battle Ground Police Department arrested Robben L. Ryder, 50, and Keith A. Busi, 43, Thursday after serving a search warrant on both a vehicle and a residence in the 500 block of Southeast 11th Street in Battle Ground, according to a release by the City of Battle Ground.

In the vehicle, police found methamphetamine and evidence of drug dealing and in the residence, they found an ounce of methamphetamine worth about $2,800, the release said.

Battle Ground police were assisted by the Clark County Sheriff’s Tactical Detective Unit.

City of Battle Ground Spokeswoman Bonnie Gilberti said that the arrest is significant because officers have suspected that Ryder was a drug dealer for some time.

Ryder and Busi were booked into the Clark County Jail, both on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver and a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
