Letter: Leverich Park vastly improved

Kudos to Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation for building the disc golf facilities at Leverich Community Park. I recently walked the Burnt Bridge Trail and noticed a vast difference in the park clientele from five years ago when I last lived in the park’s neighborhood. Wow!

I was amazed at how many young adults were involved in and enjoying their disc sport games. What a great way to see young people competing in friendly competition, getting exercise and genuinely having fun doing something that is physically, socially and emotionally rewarding. From a disc golfer’s point of view, it looks like Parks and Recreation got it right on this relatively small expenditure.
