Georgia State holds off James Madison 66-62

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) — James Vincent scored 16 points to lead four players in double figures as Georgia State won its final Colonial Athletic Association road game 66-62 Saturday over James Madison.

Devonta White chipped in 15 with five assists while R.J. Hunter and Rashaad Richardson added 11 apiece for the Panthers (15-15, 10-7), who will move to the Sun Belt conference next season.

Georgia State, which led wire-to-wire, took its largest lead, 39-26, on a jumper from White. From there, James Madison cut the deficit to two points five times and to one, 60-59, with 2:25 remaining but could not overtake the Panthers.

James Madison (16-14, 10-7) edged Georgia State in shooting, 43 percent (24 of 55) to 41 percent (22 of 53), but the Panthers sank all 17 free throws in the second half.

A.J. Davis paced James Madison with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
