Letter: Barrier to recovery approaches

Here we go again. Congress is primed to let “sequestration” happen. This a fancy Washington, D.C., term for Congress failing to do its fundamental task: adopting a federal budget. This failure will adversely affect our nation’s standing in the international business community and our ability to address our priority needs. It will erode our savings and pension accounts, place yet another barrier to economic recovery and ultimately affect everyone who is not a multimillionaire.

Congress presently has an approval rating of less than 15 percent. I am certain I am not the only one who wonders that it is even that much. “We, the People” are tired of stupid D.C. games. Congress must stop its foolish and sordid political maneuvering. Congress must start serving the nation, not themselves or their rich benefactors and PACs.
