RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Alonzo Nelson-Ododa made a go-ahead 3-pointer for his only basket of the night with 6:48 to play and Richmond rallied for a 73-64 victory against George Washington Wednesday night.
Cedric Lindsay scored 19 points and Greg Robbins had 15 for the Spiders (17-11, 7-6 Atlantic 10 Conference), who trailed by as many as nine in the second half. Robbins’ three-point play pulled them even with 7:13 to play, and after Nelson-Ododa’s 3-pointer, Robbins hit one to give the Spiders a 61-55 lead.
Kevin Larsen scored 16 and Kethan Savage 12 for the Colonials (12-14, 6-7).
The victory gave Richmond its first three-game winning streak since early December.
The Spiders trailed 48-39 after George Washington opened the second half on a 12-3 burst, but Robbins scored eight points and Kendall Anthony hit back-to-back 3-pointers for Richmond in a 22-7 run.
