GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (AP) — Tina Weirather of Liechtenstein has won a super-G for her first World Cup title.
Weirather edged Julia Mancuso of the United States and Tina Maze of Slovenia, the overall World Cup winner, who tied for second. Maze became the first skier to make 19 podiums in one season.
One of the early starters, Weirather covered the Kandahar course in 1 minute, 19.82 seconds to beat Mancuso and Maze by .12 seconds.
Maze collected 80 points for second place and has 1,924 points overall, taking her closer to becoming the first skier to top 2,000 in a season.
