COOKESVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Corey Walden scored 18 points to lead Eastern Kentucky to a 69-54 victory over Tennessee Tech in an Ohio Valley Conference game Thursday night.
It gave Eastern Kentucky a program-record 23rd victory this season.
Walden was 5 for 7 from the field, 2 of 3 on 3-pointers and 6 for 6 at the line.
Leading 25-23 at halftime, Eastern Kentucky opened the second half with a 15-2 run, including two 3-pointers by Glenn Cosey and one by Walden for a 40-25 advantage in the first 4:41.
Cosey had 14 points and Marcus Lewis 10 for the Colonels (23-7, 12-3), who lost 82-60 to Valparaiso on Saturday, snapping a six-game winning streak.
Eastern Kentucky swept Tennessee Tech this season, beating the Golden Eagles 80-69 on Feb. 14.
Jud Dillard had 21 points and eight rebounds for the Golden Eagles (111-17, 4-11), who had won two in a row coming in.
