Weyerhaeuser collects diapers for needy
Thursday, February 28, 2013
Operation Diaper Drive 2013 is in full swing.
Weyerhaeuser locations and subsidiaries throughout the U.S. are collecting diapers to give to food banks and shelters. Weyerhaeuser is teaming up on the project with World Vision, a Christian charity that fights poverty and injustice.
Last year, Weyerhaeuser said, more than 412,000 diapers were collected. This year's challenge goes through March 8.
Donations of new, unopened diaper boxes of all sizes can be taken to a drop spot at Weyerhaeuser, Town Center Building Two, 16821 S.E. McGillivray Blvd., Suite 210. Or call Julie Farmer at 360-891-3385.
