Due to icy conditions on many of the narrow, hilly, winding roads in north and east Clark County, some Battle Ground schools will start 2.5 hours late Wednesday — the first day back after winter break. Buses serving those same schools will be on a schedule that is 2.5 hours later than the regular time.
The schools with the 2.5 hour late start Wednesday are: Battle Ground High School, Tukes Valley Primary and Tukes Valley Middle schools, Amboy Middle School and Yacolt Primary School, plus Summit View High School, River HomeLink and CAM Academy.
The morning preschools and morning kindergartens in those same schools are canceled Wednesday.
All other schools in the Battle Ground School District will be operating on the regular schedule Wednesday. Any updates will be posted on the district website, battlegroundps.org.
