GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (AP) — Anders Jacobsen of Norway edged defending champion Gregor Schlierenzauer of Austria on Tuesday to win his second straight stop of the Four Hills ski jumping tour.

Jacobsen went 143 meters in the second round of jumps to rise from ninth to first. On his first jump, he nearly lost control because of the wind.

Jacobsen leads the tour at the halfway mark before the final two jumps in Austria. He is closing in on his second tour victory after 2007.

Schlierenzauer prevented a Norwegian sweep of the podium. The World Cup leader was less than a full point behind Jacobsen. Norwegians Anders Bardal and Tom Hilde were third and fourth.
