Woman struck and killed on train tracks near Ridgefield

A freight train struck and killed a woman outside of Ridgefield early Tuesday morning.
The woman was struck at around 2 a.m. on the railroad tracks along Northwest Krieger Road outside of Ridgefield, said Battalion Chief Tim Dawdy with Clark County Fire & Rescue. She was killed along the stretch of BNSF Railway tracks between Northwest 179th Street and Northwest 192nd Street, he said.
The incident remains under investigation, Dawdy said.
