Camas — In-need families were given a bit of relief in December thanks to the Camas-Washougal Fire Department's Christmas Activities Relief Organization Limited, or CAROL, program. Department firefighters, with help from East County Fire and Rescue, delivered food and gifts to 156 families on Dec. 22. The CAROL program has been helping families during the holiday season for more than 50 years. Donations to the program in 2012 included 35 new bicycles from Waste Connections in Vancouver.
