Jacksonville defeats Lipscomb 85-71

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Keith McDougald came off the bench to score 19 points and four Jacksonville starters scored in double figures as the Dolphins defeated Lipscomb 85-71 Wednesday night in Atlantic Sun action.

Jacksonville (7-8, 2-0) used a 19-6 run in the first half to lead 46-33 at the break. The Dolphins led by as many as 22 points in the second half before cruising home.

Fifteen of McDougald’s points came on his five treys. Glenn Powell scored 16 points, taking six rebounds and blocking four shots. Jarvis Haywood had 14 points and Dylan Fritsch 12. Kordario Fleming added 11.

For Lipscomb (5-8, 0-2), Stephen Hart had a double-double with 30 points and 11 rebounds. But Deonte Alexander (15 points) was the only other Lipscomb player in double figures.

Jacksonville coach Cliff Warren tied the school record with his 107th victory, equaling the mark held by Rollie Rourke since 1960.
