Poland’s 18 lifts South Florida over UCF 65-56

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Jawanza Poland scored 18 points and Anthony Collins added 16 points and 10 assists to lift South Florida to a 65-56 win over Central Florida on Wednesday night.

Victor Rudd added 13 points and 11 rebounds for South Florida (9-3), while Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 10.

Keith Clanton led UCF (9-4) with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Isaiah Sykes scored 17 points and had five assists for the Knights.

Fitzpatrick hit a 3-pointer with 1:08 left in the game to give the Bulls a 56-53 lead and South Florida went 8 for 8 from the free-throw line in the final minute to seal its fourth straight win and seventh in its last eight games.

South Florida led 47-34 after a layup by Zach LeDay with 11:53 left in the game, but the Bulls didn’t get another field goal for more than 10 minutes, giving UCF a chance to rally.
