Wolters, S. Dakota State defeat UMKC 77-61

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Nate Wolters scored 23 points and Jordan Dykstra added 21 on Thursday night as South Dakota State coasted to a 77-61 victory over UMKC.

South Dakota State (11-5, 2-1 Summit) got a balanced all-around game from Wolters, who also had seven assists, six rebounds and four steals. Most of Dykstra’s points came from long range, as he hit five 3-point baskets.

Chad White chipped in with 14 points.

UMKC (4-11, 1-3) got 14 points and five assists from Thomas Staton, 12 points from Nelson Kirksey and 10 points from Estan Tyler.

South Dakota State hit nearly 51 percent of its shots from the floor and had a 14-8 scoring advantage through turnovers.
